His plopped merrily along and quickened his pace toward the end. All of his foundational training for the sports we intend for him really fall in line with the Beginner's Test, so we were lucky enough not to have to spend too much time prepping for it specifically. As he's already been introduced to most of our pack (we blame team practices), we decided to give it a go with our junior handler, Anika. The two clicked immediately! He was ready to be in her arms within moments. Crush is definitely a people's dog. |

She's a bottomless fountain of energy and a willingness to get to work. Training her was only a bit of a process since she wanted to do it all - immediately. That said, she's taken to her recalls and basic commands quite well and we were happy to see her getting it for the actual test. As she very much leans toward people rather than her own kind, we opted to give her a bit more of a challenge and introduce her to Ailell, our older Border. No problems there, she enjoyed a romp about the yard alongside him before snuggling on up. |

She certainly likes to test us but has a fantastic off switch and knows when we are playing around. We were a bit delayed in getting her through the test with everything going on but she's really solidified her training in the extra time she's had to prepare. She also did marvelously well meeting one of our other bitches, Celeste, whom we've kept apart only due to travel and other goings-on. The girls got on just fine as we expected! |

Althea has been the shining star of Red Hills Ranch since arriving. Her sweet personality matches great with the other dogs and Team RHR completely fell in love with this fluffy cloud.
Training has been going smoothly, no real problems have manifested. Althea was soon capable of entering this BTT.
With basic cues going really well and having a great puppy playdate with her new "roommates", we feel very confident in this little lady and what she may achieve later in life! |

We did take a little longer than we'd usually do with entering her, just to solidify the basics, as the trademark Pyr independence is still in her. With the sociability portion we decided to introduce her to Forrest, an import of ours, that has made his way back to us due to some personal reasons of his original owner. Astrid was very curious and excited the whole time, and both ended up having a fun playdate. |

Jack is just such an adorable pup, you would sometimes forget he has such a drive to work and learn new things. He loves to join William on morning walks around the island, taking all the sights, sounds and smells in. Working with our little GSD has gone as planned, keeping him on a strict shedule to keep his little mind engaged for the duration of the day. His will to please really shows when doing his routine of basic commands, he is focused and keeps his head in the game. For his sociability test we were thinking of a challenge, since he has already shown great social skills around the RHR staff and his doggie roommates. We chose to show his reaction around Bugatti the cat. Since they now live together at the Morningstar residency, it was more then time to finally let them meet one-on-one (with supervision) and Jack kept his cool, showing playfulness and respecting Bugatti's space when needed. |

Eben has not been with us for the longest time yet, but his training has already taken a great start. Basics like a good recall and the basic commands like 'down' have gone quite smooth with recall being his biggest challenge. Coming into this new environment with all these new things going on, this was expected and so we worked to get his recall down from the start. His on and off switch really show with his training, he's already very good at changing his energy and mindset. We are sure this will be a valuebale asset for his specialised training later on. On the social level we looked at his reaction to Leo and Arno, his new roommates at Torvi & Otis' place. Much smaller in size to our GSD boys, Eben went for a energetic greeting, seeing if one of the big boys was down to play. Our little Cattle Dog has a lot of energy, but we see a lot of potential and we are happy he lets us channel that energy to learn and grow every day! |

She's fast to pick things up and her attention span is growing but getting things wrong is very frustrating for her. I see potential in that if I can get her to push through. She's showing a lot of progress in her confidence and has begun to take the lead a bit more instead of following the older dogs around for constant reassurance.She's such a pest at home with them it was no shock that daycare was a resounding success, I see that becoming a regular for her as she's really been missing puppy shenanigans! |

A toy will do for a few requests and then he is rolling his eyes asking where the jerky is at. Being food driven is great! But Matrix is only chicken jerky driven, he spits out liver treats which is a first in this house! He keeps me laughing and I truly believe he is that nice middle we were hoping for with this pairing, He needs no off switch and puts himself to bed - so it was no surprise to see him in the play yard relaxing after a romp with his newfound friends. He was absolutely pooped after his first day of daycare. |

Busby has been an excellent student in the basics of obedience, really showing us great focus. She's lovely during training and loves to go out and about with her trainer to learn and do new things. As expected, Busby was hanging back at first when we introduced her to the other girls we have at Nocturne and their carer. It did not take long however for Busby to engage with the other dogs and show interest in the new environment. Overall we are very satisfied with the results of her Beginner training and we look forward to expanding her obedience training in the near future! |
