Darby did an amazing job completing her Advanced Test activities. We have seen even more improvement in these past couple of months with her energy leveling out and showing us her true potential in her training. We expect great things from this gal, and we have given her once temporary trainer full authority of her training, with the help of other staff. Both Frankie and Darby have learned a lot from their many months of hard training, and both have created such a great bond. We can't wait to see them work the show ring, and bring even more pride to Blackmoth Kennel. |

We decided to wait around a bit before doing this final stage of Rosa's COA. We were worried at first especially as it had recently snowed heavily and so the floor was covered with snow and there was still a light snowfall. This was one of Rosa's first experiences with snow so we were worried she would get distracted but luckily she didn't. She definitely outperformed what we expected of her and she did so well! |

He is one of the smartest German Shepherd pups we have trained. He is a little overly excited so it was a little hard for him to heel when in training but now it's a breeze. I have to make everything a game to him. He loves to play and is more motivated by play than treats, although he does love a good treat. When told to stay he did fidget a bit but he stayed in place. He loves toys so it was no surprise that he accepted his toy right away. Since Joker was eight weeks old Morgan and I have done everything we can to socialize him. Joker did wonderfully when meeting a new passerby by our kennel. We were on a walk and Joker immediately wanted to sniff him but I ordered him to sit and he just smiled adorably as I shook hands with our newest neighbor. |

Arno has been a bit of a challenge to train, but a lot of hard work and focused training have really helped him forward. His high drive and intelligence are unique to work with and we wouldn't want it any other way.
France and William are so proud of this little boy's progress. The whole team at RHR can't wait to see how Arno will do in the future when he starts to enter shows and trails. |

We didn't see any hints of hesitation when it came to meeting someone new and she was eager to give up her favourite ball for a few head scratches. |

Super steady to when meeting new people, walking calmly on lead, and allowing Caden to play with her while she chewed on her ball without any grumbling. Ram's still got a bit of a ways to go but this test definitely helped us to see how far she's already come. |

We are very happy with how Nina completed her youngster testing. She has that typical Czech GSD drive which makes her not very suited for inexperienced handlers, but with a professional handler she really shines. As you see in the pictures she keeps a calm composure at all times and has her main focus on the handler and their signals. Overall we are really proud of Nina and the evolution of her training! |

Obedience might not be something he enjoys as much as playing around, but when it's time to work he is attentive and always gives it his best shot. He is a very friendly dog, so contact with strangers is something that never threw him off. He knows his obedience and is easy to handle which gives us a lot of possibilities to participate in various trails and shows. Bentley made us very proud and we know he will continue to do so! |

Valerie, but we always call her "Val" for short. She can be a handful to work with, but has her heart in the right place. Val does have a good drive, but again needs a more experienced handler to really show off her obedience and other commands. We don't have one single path we know to send her on, but we are excited to find out what she will excel in most. We just want to give her every opportunity we can to let her use her talent and drive. The youngster tests were just the beginning, but also a great start for our Val! |

This had us extremely worried, however, the worrying was for nothing because Chise performed simply amazing this entire test. He is definitely calmer now, easily and willingly doing everything we asked of him. The easiest for him to perform was walking without pulling, and toy acceptance. He took a very short time to learn walking calmly on a leash when he was younger, and while he enjoys that red ball, he enjoys attention far more. |

Attached to her brother, and the most goofy one of the kennel right now, she was difficult to train each exercise in one way or another. While her personality is simply lovely, sometimes it can be quite frustrating during training. We were worried that with the first exercise she would see something she liked and start to wander off due to being rather curious and liking to check things out for herself. Luckily, this did not occur during the test and she seems to have gotten the point that this was a serious benchmark for her. The most surprising point of this test is toy acceptance, since she likes to play a game of tag at home whenever we try to take her favorite ball from her. Alas, she did great! She has come so far and we couldn't be happier with her progress. |
