About[/i] Spring Photo Contest!Give us a glimpse into how your kennels are enjoying the springtime. Playing in a spring shower? Enjoying a walk among all the newly blooming flowers? Snuggled down with the dogs and a good book to watch the rainfall? Some springtime training? Easter egg hunts? Or maybe you've got a springtime litter on the way! Any registered dog(s) may be featured in the image along with sims while a full focus on the dogs is also more than welcome but don't feel like you need to cram all of your dogs or sims into one shot! For a water dog, you'd think she'd love it, but nope. She loves swimming, running under sprinklers and playing with the watering hose, though for some reason she hates going out in the rain. Meanwhile, our Chessie, Donny, covered the new house in muddy paw prints!

As Shelly already predicted, there is a small secret the Morningstar household was keeping! France will be staying away from the showing ring for a while to rest, with the little new addition to the family on his/her way. After entering the World Championship, the GSD girls have been staying at the RHR farm and keeping France company. Ona is so exited and she and Nina won't leave France's side! William has been feeling like he's keeping up with the Kardashians, all these girls around him. In truth he's just as excited as everyone and wants everything to go as smooth as possible for France. Spring brought so many surprises already and we couldn't be happier!

All of the dog went searching right when they smelled the treats, and didn't stop until every egg was uncovered! Pumpkin, who is the known food lover of our kennel, found the most eggs in all (a total of 8 eggs)! But she had a bit of trouble when she found eggs intended for the bigger dogs, and couldn't jump high enough half the time, so Mya helped her out with that.

She eventually found an egg, behind the fence near the pasture, because there was actually no eggs in there. Just when Akila was about to leave with her prize, Strawberry the quarter horse noticed her. Akila held onto the egg anyways and ran off with an angry mare behind her, and Mya trying to catch either Akila or Strawberry. Akila did however get out the gate with her prize, a baked peanut butter treat.

“The house isn’t yours to sell, Pru”, Nazz said to me one day while we were sitting in our studio apartment in San Myshuno. “Well than whose is it?” “It’s yours on paper, sure, but it’s been in the family nearly a century - isn’t it future generations just as much as it is yours?”, Nazz said gently. I was quiet. We had that conversation so many time by then that the topic alone exhausted me. “We have to go through it no matter what decision you make”, Nazz reminded me,”better sooner than later”. It still felt like home without her there. It was an undisturbed time capsule to my childhood. We have found the perfect mesh of old and new. The charming wallpapers still adorn the walls and her ridiculous tchotchke collection has joined my conservative one on the fireplace. The space has given me the confidence to start my breeding program. The poodles have been a huge help with the clean up and renovations! Neve spends her time exploring the acreage behind the house while Gomez supervises our work. You missed a spot, mom!  |

What an exhausting and chaotic day! Lena and I decided to clean up the kitchen, since it most definitely isn't the cleanest. We grabbed out all of the cleaning supplies we had in our armory, and went on to rage war onto the counters, stovetops, and sink. Sanitation to the max! No Corona for Lushager, no, no. Right after we were done cleaning off the island, Leon strolled in. streaking the polished floor and leaving handprints on the fridge. "Leon, was machst du gerade?" I say. "Leon, what are you doing?" "Ich hab' Durst, Mutti. Beruhige dich." He replies snarkily. "I'm thirsty, mom. Chill out." "Warum fängst du nicht an zu putzen?" I question, a hand on my hip. "Why don't you start cleaning?" "Das ist doof," He snorts, taking a sip of the milk he poured. "That's stupid." "Geh aus der Küche, Leon. Du machst alles schmutzig." I swat him out. "Get out of the kitchen, Leon. You're getting everything dirty." "Okay, okay." He rolls his eyes, finishing his milk. He sets the now dirty and empty glass on the counter and walks out the door. "Leon!" I yell after him, but he was long gone. Lina gives a light chuckle, but then a sharp gasp as Rosa and Kringel burst through the slightly ajar door, Rosa leaving her muddy paw prints all over the newly shined tile. I gasp, groaning with frustration. "Nun, wir brauchen mehr Bodenpolitur... und Hundeshampoo..." Lina grimaces, shrugging. "Well, we're going to need more floor polish... and dog shampoo..."

It's an important occasion, so of course the whole Harris household was present. While still unassuming as of now, I'm sure this tiny guy will grow up to be a beautiful and strong tree, serving as a reminder for us all of how far we've come. It may sound silly, but actually we've already started thinking of where we'll replant him, once he outgrows his current pot. I must say that seeing everything coming alive after a winter that seemed to last forever is making me feel all fuzzy inside, after the hardships we went through, bringing back hope that I wasn't sure when we'll regain again. After all, not for nothing it's said ''April showers bring May flowers''. But for now, we're hoping that they bring a rainbow along with them as well 🌈👼  |

I was ready to put it off, but they insisted on helping us, so that’s what we agreed on. Everything was going well, dogs were roaming around the house as usual, but it just so happened that our boy Raoul was down for someone to love on him, with our dear Mr.Harris being his go-to person. As this endearing scene was unfolding and my mum was taking a picture, me asking for someone to pass the green rag had already become, as we say in Latvia, ‘’tukša skaņa’’ (an empty sound). I was about to give a 2nd try at redirecting everyone’s attention, when before I knew it, I fail to keep my balance on the stepladder and am about to fall down from it. I kid you not, were he to take a look behind his back a split second later, who knows what would’ve happened. Looking back at it now we get a good laugh from it and the photo that my mom took just at the right moment makes it only better. I guess the spring in the air is really getting to our heads 🌷🍃  |
