Eve Lillian Sommer 21 • Windenburg • Freelancer My name is Eve, I'm 21. I live in the quaint little country town of Windenburg. My house sits on about two acres of land, it may not seem like much but it's not too large for me to keep up with the grass growing and not too small that i feel cramped with all my animals. I'm able to fit a "tiny home" along with multiple single dog kennels and a garden. I thankfully don't have neighbors closer than about a five minute walk; I live pretty far out there which is about a 30 minute drive into town. I enjoy going into town from time to time. It's quite a tight community so everyone is really, really friendly. We have a good selection of stores, as well as a vet clinic. I work from home as a freelancer which means I am not strictly employed to one company, I find my own gigs and get paid for them. It pays well but I have plans to apply for the vet clinic I mentioned as soon as a job opening occurs, which, isn't very often. The Kennel Agility • Schutzhund • Nose Work I use the term "kennel" losely-- my kennel is my personal pack of pet dogs or working dogs. My pack currently consists of two German Shepherds, a Great Dane, and a Greater swiss working dog. All the dogs I have currently are registered and awaiting health/temperament testing until they reach two years of age. I do not currently have any plans to breed any of my dogs but they are unneutered at this very moment. I do plan on having my Great Dane fixed in the next few weeks. Every dog I have is worked daily with short training sessions of up to 15 minutes 4-5 times a day. It's important to work their brains but not so much that they get burnt out, hence the shorter sessions more frequently. I also try to take them on group walks if time allows during the day, but they run around the property all day long so they are always stretching their legs. As a side note, where they sleep at night is dependent on the weather. My outdoor kennels are lined with red pine bedding and have a shaded area away from sun and out of the rain. Each and every dog is out and about during the day whether it be for training sessions, walks, or simply just to be social. On the days that I'm cramped with work, I pay local teens to walk the calmest of the bunch, Titan and Klaus. They are quite easy to walk so I have no issue letting others walk them. For the others however, Cash and Forrest, I walk them on my own when the time allows. I won't have anyone else work with them as they are both younger and not adjusted to children yet.
