'Zodiac' Litter Updates //
We've been a bit quiet on this end with Sophie's litter, she's had a bit of a rough time of it and a couple complications, so we felt it was best to keep cameras out of her face and let her quietly adjust to being pregnant without much interference.
Circumstances have meant that getting an accurate puppy count has been difficult but we do have a general estimate and will start contacting those on our waitlist soon. We do truly wish that she'd had a smoother first pregnancy, I'm sure every breeder knows the pitfalls and the worry of losing not only the unborn pups but your dam as well, and we are so incredibly relieved to see her coming around as we get closer to the end of it. We did get a belly update along with the estimated puppy count that we're excited to see! Nipples have dropped and puppies can be felt moving around so it shouldn't be too much longer at this point. We're estimating sometime early December for birth, just in time for Gemma to start showing if we're lucky.
We'll start contacting those on the waitlist soon but there's still a spot or two open so be sure to fill out the form below if you're interested!
Reservations for this litter are now in 'back-up' status, you'll be shortlisted should another reservation drop out for any reason. /////

GERMAN SHEPHERD LITTER A "COFFEE"
LITTER UPDATE:We had a couple of prospective dogs that we were looking at for this litter but in the end we just couldn't pass up the chance to pair her with another darker coloured dog with proven drive and ability. Ch Blazes Assassin CGC, owned by Shelly Morgan , will be siring this litter and we could not be more thrilled! Ezio arrived just in time for us to get confirmation that Gem had not only qualified for her Championship Herding title but also her Supreme Grand Champion conformation title. We weren't quite sure she was gonna make those last couple points before we retired her from conformation but thanks to a couple BOB/BOO placements along with a Best in Show for her very last event we just managed to get there. We are so, so proud of her, for a dog that didn't particularly love being in the show ring she constantly excelled and we expect that this pairing, with another proven ring Champion, will help produce pups that will also do just as well in the ring as they will in other sporting trials.
Irish Wolfe Litter A "Constlliations" has been moved to Imminent status! We've been working very closely with Dire in order to make sure that this line of Service Dog prospectives takes off well and we're finally at a point where we feel confident that Finn and Olivia are ready to be paired. If you'd like to get on the list for a pup please fill out the form located here but be aware that these dogs are 100% intended to be SD candidates and will all be going through agency training with Vita Servitium before they'll be fully placed in new homes and you will also need to be aware of the Breed Standard when it comes to being waitlisted for an IWE.
LITTER INFOLitter Name: German Shepherd Litter A "Coffee" Breed: German Shepherd Dog Line: East German Working Litter Size: approx. 2 - 5 Coat Expectations: Solid black, bi-colour, dark sable Coat Length: Short to Medium Inheritance: 20 pts Conformation + 5 pts Herding Date of Pairing: TBA Extra: Highly titled parents means base price for these puppies has increased significantly! Payment options for puppies are being offered. Litter Reservations: OPENLitter Expectations: We're expecting extremely high drive dogs out of this litter that should excel in herding, French Ring, IPO, and conformation. //// updates Fill out the form here if you're interested in a puppy from this litter! Slots are filling quickly but active kennels here will have priority.
If we've spoken about your reservation for this litter between Oct-Nov you're on the waitlist and do not need to fill out a new form (unless you'd like to be approved for a payment plan)! If you applied for this litter before October 2019 you'll need to re-apply with the above form.

'Coffee', 'Zodiac', & 'Warriors' Litter Updates //
It's finally time!
Gem went into season right on schedule and after a bit of a confused standoff between the two we got a successful tie pretty quickly! Ezio was a total gentleman about it, backed off properly if she warned him away, and was quick and efficient about the mount and tie. This is the first time Sera, Gemma's co-owner, has dealt with something quite like this so we're glad that overall it was a smooth process!
Once we've confirmed conception we'll be back with more updates!
Did you forget about this litter? We surely haven't and have been absolutely ecstatic to finally have some news on this front to share!
We've kept a bit quiet as Ame had a few complications during whelping and sadly lost two of the pups, the stress of it had us worried that she would fully reject the other three when they struggled to latch. Thankfully after a couple days of hand feeding on our part while trying to reintroduce the puppies to their mum we finally got some successful latches and once that happened it seemed to click for Ame leaving us with a finally calm mum that was happy to have her pups nursing.
The remaining three have recovered fantastically and are on track with growth and weight gain so we're finally ready to introduce them!
All puppies for 'Warriors' have been claimed!
And last but certainly not least we've gotten word that Sophie is starting to nest and eating more while puppies are very clearly being felt and seen moving around, so it could be any day now!
As we struggled to get an accurate puppy count we're leaving reservations open until the birth! Any that come in at this point will be put on a 'back-up' list in case we have more than we were expecting or another reservation backs out.

'Coffee' & 'Zodiac' Litter Updates //
'Zodiac' is here!
Sophie went into labour early yesterday morning whelping four healthy puppies with no complications! With the issues she was having early in the pregnancy we're definitely happy that the birth itself was so smooth.
All four pups look like they'll be feathered, the chance of smooth was very small with this pairing but you never know! An even spread of males and females with two showing black and tan markings. We'll see as they get older if either Black/Tan pup will develop anymore white but at the moment we're confident with the black/tan label on the coats, along with what seems like a Black/Silver and Solid Cream! We're unsure if the Black/Silver pup will develop enough tan to push them over into Black/Tan but at the moment there's only a small hint of it.
Our only problem so far seems to be the little Cream puppy who is currently refusing to nurse and is instead being hand-fed by Signe, so far Sophie hasn't rejected them and is happy to have the puppy back with their siblings when feeding is done but we're very much hoping to get the pup to latch sooner rather than later.
And a quick update about 'Coffee'!
Our vet confirmed that Gemma is pregnant! She's not so happily off work for the time being and grumping around her co-owners home but we're very happy with how she's looking so far and can't wait to update everyone with a puppy count!
Reservations are still OPEN for this litter! Please be aware that these puppies will have a high price tag due to the accomplishments of both dam and dog! If you do not have at least 4,000 or MORE SIKC funds we will be offering payment plans for leasing puppies from this litter.

GERMAN SHEPHERD LITTER A "COFFEE" & SALUKI LITTER A "ZODIAC" UPDATES
LITTER UPDATES:No image update on this litter at the moment as we're busy traveling for shows and haven't had a chance to see Gem too much outside of a short video chat at her vet appointment a couple days ago. Good news though! We got an estimated puppy count from her recent check up, the vet actually managed to get a very clear image of the bubs and is pretty positive her count will be correct. We've confirmed our pick priority on our end and will start contacting people in the next couple days! Any reservation that exceeds our estimated puppy count will be placed on "standby" status; this means that should another reservation drop out for any reason you'll be next on the list. And onto 'Zodiac' !!Apologies for our lack of updates, between the fact that we're busy with shows and have one other litter that's soon going to be moving on grounds, it's been hard to keep up constant communication between us and Liten Flod.Even so we've got some good updates! Our cream pup Red Collar "Scales" has continued to be hand fed as the little guy just wasn't interested in latching, he's fallen just a bit behind in weight gain (which we expected) but now that everyone is starting to wean we're expecting him to catch right back up. He's got a pretty intense personality already, bold and focused, with a bit of a stubborn streak when he sets his mind on something who is quick to disarm you with a charming tilt of the head. Despite the bit of time he's been having to spend away from his siblings for feeding he is very much turning out to be the leader of this little pack. We're seeing budding signs of a high drive and are expecting that stubborn focus to translate well into a solid prey drive.Next up we've got Blue Collar "Ram" our Irish marked Black and Tan girl is a bouncy, fearless girl that's absolutely full of energy. She's always on the go and showing off that Sighthound drive for running that we were expecting to see. Thankfully she does seem to be developing a bit of an off switch as long as she's had some time to burn off that energy, happy to sit and cuddle with her mum, siblings, or a Sim. While we're expecting her to have a high activity drive we don't think she'll develop much, if any, of a prey drive. Our Green Collar "Crab" is a pretty Black and Tan girl whoes coat takes after her sires. She's another that seems like she'll have a lower prey drive as she gets older even with the high activity drive. She's a smart girl, steady and intuitive that has a pretty singular focus when it comes to Sims and will overall stick pretty close to whom she's selected as 'her person' for the day. We very much expect her to do well in conformation and any singular handler focused work. And then we've got Yellow Collar "Scorpion" our lovely Black and Silver boy. Much like Scales he's got an intensity to him with a bold and fearless presence. Doesn't press much to be the leader but does have a very keen mind and is showing some well thought out processing when it comes to new situations. Not nearly as stubborn as Scales, thankfully, but strong willed and does sometimes need a little extra prodding to do something he doesn't particularly want to do.
Overall we've got a lovely spread of personalities and expect all the puppies to excel in the homes they'll be going to! Take home day will be the 20th of December!

GERMAN SHEPHERD LITTER A "COFFEE" UPDATES
Welcome to the world 'Coffee' Litter! As with all litters that are born off grounds for us we feel that it's imperative that we allow the sims housing the dam and pups to assess how much we can get in their faces for updates. Gemma has been... well she's been very much herself and has been uninterested in allowing too many people outside of her owner anywhere near her or the pups until weaning was started.Unfortunately for new owners (and us!) that meant far fewer photo updates but we've stayed in constant contact with Sera while getting our own chances to spend a bit of time with the brood in the last few weeks and are happy to finally announce that early the morning of the 25th Gemma went into labour! The birth was smooth outside of a few minor issues and a surprise addition, that must have been hiding behind her siblings during all the ultrasounds, Gem whelped five healthy puppies!Gemma whelped 3 females and 2 males with a wonderful mix of dark sables, solid blacks, and a single bicolour puppy. Both dog and bitch carried recessive black so we were by no means surprised with a solid pup but we sure weren't expecting to get two!One of our black pups does have a bit of a white but we're unsure at the moment how much that's going to remain as his coat matures, it's pretty nonetheless, and is a nice way to tell him and Red (Ariosa) apart at a glance. Our trouble duo and Picks of Litter, Blue (Badger) and Teal (Dono), were our main concerns during whelping, we hadn't expected the fifth pup to begin with and of course, Dono had to make her surprise debut nearly on the heels of her sister as Neveah had her back turned checking over the others; we're not at all surprised that the two have become inseparable - causing havoc wherever they happen to wander. We love it!So far all puppies do seem like they're going to maintain the shorter coats, though we won't know for sure until they're a bit older, and so far we're seeing a solid stretch of personalities, drives, and focus in everyone.
We will be contacting the picked homes soon! Take-home day has not yet been determined but we'll keep new homes updated.

GERMAN SHEPHERD LITTER A "COFFEE" UPDATES
Cleared to explore!'Coffee' is still residing with Sera and Gemma but our resident 'Puppy Wrangler' has taken over a lot of their general socialisation, we're very glad that Sera doesn't mind having our hungry teen camping out at her place more often than not.As well as hitting our 'Rules of 7' all puppies passed their Volhard’s Puppy Aptitude Test with mostly 3's, though Orange did give us the expected smattering of 2's, and with first shots out of the way they're free to finally get out in the world and explore! There's daily walks while we get some basics of leash training going and trips to the local training ground for them to start getting familiar with various sporting equipment.
Next update on 'Coffee' should hopefully be take-home day!

SALUKI LITTER A "ZODIAC" UPDATES
One last hike!'Zodiac' was out for their last hike with Signe before they make their way to their new homes! Everyone is getting more confident at being off-lead and doing lots of really good checking in before running off to explore again - this area is enclosed so there's no worry about any pups taking off, but there's also enough wildlife to test their prey drives and focus if they're called off a chase. It'll be sad to see them go, Signe doesn't get to work with puppies too often, but we're excited to see what the future holds! We're still debating if Sophie will make the trip with the boy we're keeping or if we'll finally end our lease on her and let her remain stay with Liten Flod, but regardless of the decision we're excited for our next chapter with this breed.

Small rule adjustment since it's been more relevant recently:
If puppies tray files have not been downloaded by the time they reach their 6 month age up we'll consider them to have been surrendered and ownership will be revoked unless you've contacted us to explain.
Please do not fill out litter reservations if you have no interest in actually being active with the puppies! Having to scramble to rehome before puppies age out of the youngster bracket is incredibly annoying. |

GERMAN SHEPHERD LITTER A "COFFEE" UPDATES
Livestock introductions!'Coffee' has made their way onto the kennel grounds to spend their last little while with us for their last bits of behaviour and drive testing and to allow us to better determine personalities. Our 'Puppy Bootcamp' will be starting soon but their first week with us was all about getting used to livestock and strengthening their ability to recall well off-leash while we also get a bit of a chance to see who is naturally inclined towards the type of work we were expecting from this litter.
A day out with Caden to check on some of our flock gave the pups all a chance to get used to moving alongside our horse Grace, who was lead not ridden, while the group learned that heavy hooves were not a place to play under; she's a hard worker but also a mare that is well used to rambunctious puppies and our ideal pick when it comes to first introductions.
We're very impressed with the natural instincts we saw from... almost everyone.
Green boy 'Klaus' was happier hanging out near Grace and needed to be prodded to even give the livestock a glance. Not that we're unhappy about it, his drive seems to be developing in a slightly different direction, which we had already assumed from our initial assessments. He is very handler focused and will get some one on one drive testing working alongside a handler with the sheep in the next couple days to see how he does.
Grade didn't mind the company, at least, and he never let Caden get out of his line of sight. We've tentatively set take-home day as 30 Jan depending on rl schedules but if that doesn’t work out the first week of Feb at the latest!

We've got high hopes for all the pups and have no doubt that they'll excel with their new owners.
Tray files will be sent throughout the day!

08 Feb Update: No dog from me be it publicly posted on ohbluir/ohhblur/imogenflod, flash litters off IG, personal requests, imports, rescue dogs, rehomed dogs, or in-house litters may be used in the United Instagram Kennels Club.
I will not do collab breedings if the puppies are going to be used in the club!
I do not want previous collab breedings offspring to be used in the club!
As I am not able to participate, cannot guarantee that I'm going to always be able to see what's going on (I do not check IG often), and am uncomfortable with the possibility of drawing kennels having access to my lines, I am not comfortable with dogs from me being involved and ask that people respect that and the clear decision the club has made to distance itself from the sikc. |

OOC Update: Hello!!
This keeps happening and is starting to make me uncomfortable sharing things with the community. Please, please do not directly copy ANY wording in any of my threads or on any of my sites.
You can absolutely take inspiration from my things and can absolutely use bits and pieces of text, since there are a lot of things that can really only be expressed a limited numbers of ways, but the full on direct copy/pasting of my litter rules, puppy terms, ect. is incredibly disrespectful of the thought and time I put into wording and composing my information and I'm frankly sick of seeing it.
Don't message me to apologise, just do better. Spend some time to figure out how to word things in your own voice instead of taking mine.
