Predominantly pose/item tests // i play the kennel as a legacy so expect random legacy-focused updates. gonna try to keep this strictly rp-based, so even pose/cc testing will likely have a story component to it.
• updates on rescues will be moved to the rescue/import thread here. • updates on public litters will be moved to the nursery thread here. • private litter updates will still be in this thread
THREAD INFO & WCIF POLICY
i am not wcif friendly concerning build & buy mode objects, sorry! all of my build/buy cc is merged and i'm not pulling it apart to find creator info. check here before asking me about availability for any conversions, poses, or recolours featured in any images here.
please post a wcif inquiry for poses/conversions in the thread! i will not respond to messages about it - it's simpler for everyone if i answer those publicly so they don't have to ask as well.
**
it is highly probable that i'll periodically clean out the thread/delete posts or images as my editing style changes or the legacy progresses to the point that i feel like the images are no longer relevant. they'll always be backed up here should you want to find something!

THREAD UPDATE
cleaned up the thread! the way i want to edit images here is ever changing & i'm not a huge fan of having images i'm unhappy with always right in my face. on top of that i've been trying to figure out what i want to do with this thread/what images i really wanted to post here over tumblr/insta or if i wanted to have intermittent litter/import/rescue updates here versus their main threads.
hopefully, now that i've decided i want strictly story-relevant stuff here it'll motivate me to actually... write some story stuff and play the family more often in-game!

welcome litter c!
Gab wasn't showing any signs of being ready quite yet so we figured it was safe enough to make the trip to the airport to meet our newest additions (we'll introduce them later!), but never one to follow any sort of schedule she surprised the girls by going into labor late Monday night.
Our vet made it to the house before us but thankfully didn't need to do much other than keep an eye on things. Gab had no issues, with a short and smooth whelping, and was recovering happily with her new furballs when by the time we got back.
It's only been a couple days but we're already very happy with what we're seeing from this litter. This was meant to be our last of this line but we may need to reconsider that should one of the American line pups win an appropriate title.

litter c - update
The grow up so quickly! Everyone had their first official check-up recently and thoroughly enjoyed being fawned over by all the staff and the few other paterons that were in the office. So far it looks like Teal collar is going to end up being our pick of litter! His markings haven't filled out, aligning with our initial suspicions, which will make him the first melanistic coat Dobe for the kennel - a good match as our favourite from their previous litter is our white girl.

May I ask is that an edit or is the Camera overlay and shading a mod? Cheers! They were an adorable bunch and so far seem to be settling in with their new families wonderfully The only editing in the Dal/Lab photos is some very minor Topaz Clean adjustments, otherwise the photos are 100% a new reshade preset that I'm working on plus the camera overlay. The various camera overlays are something I'll eventually release once I'm happy with them!

Thanks for the reply I would love that reshading mod once you release it, also may I please ask how did you make the camera overlay mod work? I downloaded it and it's a PY file and the instructions are not clear on how to make it work. Cheers.

It's super important to me to have at least a bit of uniqueness to the overall tone of my images and that gets lost a bit if everyone has access to the same preset. The presets listed on my Resource Page have had a heavy influence on it though if you're looking for something similar I'm not sure what mod you downloaded, the camera overlay is just a .psd file that gets dropped onto the images in photoshop.

Oh thank you! I don't have photoshop but I'll try to make it work Also about the shading mod, I totally understand I want my kennel to be unique in it's own way too. But thanks for linking me the other reshading mods! Also are the mating poses still available to the general public? you gave me the code once but I totally lost the undocked version of the poses, I wish I had them again but I may not use them very much because I don't want my kennel to be controversial if you know what I mean lol

Fairy Tale Litter Updates
Reunions like this are always a bit of a bittersweet thing for us; while we love to be reunited with puppies that have been born out of our stock and are more than happy to work with someone that needs to rehome one of our pups, having to reposes them is one of our least favourite aspects of breeding. Sadly, out of Fairy Tale, both our pick of litter Cael and orange collar Ren have been repossessed as we no longer felt that the homes they had gone to were capable of caring for them in the way they deserved.
It was a crushing sight to see Ren, the incredibly happy go lucky puppy that had left our care, trembling in her travel crate even after having to be medicated to get through the trip. This was a pup who settled right down in her crate at 8 weeks old for the long flight out of Ireland and had nothing but glowing reports on each stop to her new home. The last thing we had ever expected from this litter was to have two dogs that shied away from people and struggled to settle down to walk calmly on a lead, this is not what we breed for, not at all a condition that we would have released our dogs in, and not at all what we're looking for in homes for our animals and while we did eventually get them settled enough to walk mostly quietly out of the airport with us both dogs were still clearly anxious and antsy for the trip to be over with. Instead of coming back to the kennel grounds, where there's a whole bunch of other animals and people always about, we've brought Cael and Ren to a board and training facility that I've worked closely with since I was a child. Storsjön is very much equipped to best assess our pups and get them started back on the right path, with the bonus of having my parents both on staff there to keep an eye on them. The pups got some immediate off-leash time on the grounds once we got there much to both dogs pleasure and by the time I was headed back to the airport for the trip home I was already catching glimpses of the personalities that the two had when they left our kennel originally. ///////
