Requirements:
» Dog must be purebred and intact.
» Dog must have passed the CGC test.
» Dog must fit within standards with no disqualifying faults or off-standard markings - those that are still candidates for breeding despite off-standard markings are eligible.
» Dog must have a clear hip/elbow reading, proof of health test required - Handler Defense Phase only.
» Dog must be registered - no registration pending applicants.
» Sharp dogs, those with the Aggressive, Stubborn, or Jumpy trait(s), are not eligible.
» Judge and helper sims will be provided, one or both must be visible at some point in the temperament testing phase.
» Dogs must wear a tight-fitting collar with no tags or loose bits and leash when applicable. Vest may be worn instead of collar as long as it does not impede movement.
» Both Type & Temperament Phases must be completed for each test type.

Dogs that are not eligible for the Handler Defense testing (those that are not eligible for IPO work, have or carry hip/elbow dysplasia) may only complete the Isolation Test.

Type Phase Requirements:
Gait must be a clear side-view of both sides to clearly show off the dogs movement, handler should not be impeding view.
» Pictures must be 800 x 450 pixels, well lit and of good quality. Editing allowed within reason.

Temperament Phase Requirements:
» [/b]Up to 3 pictures required.
» Pictures must be 800 x 450 pixels, well lit and of good quality. Editing allowed within reason.
» Pictures must show dog in full as well as Handler, Helper, or Judge when necessary.
An unknown helper remains hidden in the blind while the handler calmly leads the dog past it.
Select one:
» Loose Heel // the leash is calmly removed as dog and handler near the blind, a clam close heel must be maintained
» Blind Attack // the helper comes out of the blind as the off leash dog and handler approach in a surprise attack; dog should respond promptly biting the sleeve fully and outing to a hold in front of the helper when signaled. Both the bite/hold and outing/release should be shown.
Isolation Test - this is the general test for dogs that don’t qualify for the Handler Defense phase.

In an open location, accessible from all directions, handler removes lead from the dog and moves out of sight after giving a sit or down hold command. Isolation lasts no less than 3 minutes and no longer than 5 minutes.

Exercises:
» 0:00 - 3:00 Maintain // judge will pace around and walk past the dog without threatening it while the dog maintains the hold.
» 3:00 - 5:00 Reaction // as the test comes to a close the judge will stop in front of or next to the dog and drop an object (ie clipboard, book, ect) and observe then note the dogs reaction. Dog should maintain hold without startling or showing aggression.

Passing Grade:
» 1B - awarded to dogs that complete the Isolation Defense testing phase and signals that the dog is Fit for Breeding, of solid build and movement, and displays a stable temperament. Dogs with a 1B certificate are fantastic examples of their breed, showing a solidness in temperament and should produce like-minded offspring.

Disqualification or Failing Grade:
» Pictures of an incorrect size will result in a disqualification, therefore a failing grade.
» Reused images will result in disqualification, therefore a failing grade.
» Off-standard dogs, dogs of an ineligible breed, or dogs that are no longer intact will result in a disqualification, therefore a failing grade.
» Failure to complete any of the exercises for any testing phase will result in a failing grade.
» Editing of your post without explicit permission from an Admin, judge, or a moderator will be intimidate disqualification, therefore a failing grade.
