Website || Register || Events || Templates || ResourcesWelcome to the Doberman Pinscher Breed Club. The DPC maintains the registry for the breed and acts as a hub for general information about the breed for all simmers looking to get involved with Doberman. Updated lists for active breeders, available stud or brood dogs, templates and resources to get you started with your own dogs, and information on breed specific as well as open events can all be found on our site. The DPC is maintained by Blue Rivers , founder of the Blue Rivers Kennel, an enthusiastic supporter of both American and European line Doberman who looks forward to helping maintain the breed standards, correcting common misconceptions about the breed, and watching the breed prosper while promoting healthy breeding habits. Don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions, issues, or feedback! About the DobermanDeveloped in the 1800s as a guard dog, the Doberman has an innate ability not only to protect his family but also to anticipate danger and threats. Because he's so smart, he's not often wrong. Dobermans are the fifth smartest breed and easily trained, and that intelligence should not be underestimated. They excell strongly at a variety of jobs and sports and are good, sturdy dogs that can shine with the proper training.

The DPC is proud to announce our partnership with DoberGen to offer health testing for your Doberman Pinschers! DoberGen offers a variety of health panels and tests to determine if your dog is healthy and fit for breeding. They've also added a Coat Colour & Traits test to help better determine results from future liters! "Often times the symptoms or signs of disease/genetic condition do not appear until later in life. And if litters have been bred already, it can't be taken back. Some genes are carried or "hidden," meaning the dog does not have signs of it, but if bred with another dog carrying the gene, the offspring can inherit it. This is why it is important to test even seemingly "healthy" dogs so that you know what is there on a deeper level and what may be passed down." - Leila Lindström DoberGen, head Geneticist.
The DPC will also be working with DoberGen to help maintain an up-to-date list of all active and registered dogs that have been tested, a nice way to check out any listed dogs information quickly to see if they'll be the right fit for breeding or to check out the health of your dog's dam and sire. You can see an example of the results sheet here (link).

I've had a couple questions about whether or not the DPC accepted Warlock or long coated Dobes for registration, so I wanted to clear that up.
Warlocks are not purebred Dobes and the DPC will not be accepting them, you'll need to talk to the proper people about getting that breed registered as a new breed since they're a mix.
Long Coated Dobes the DPC will take, but as we do not support the breeding for that particular mutation, we will not register any intact dog which for you means that these dogs will only be able to compete in events that are open to dogs that are neutered/spayed. And as this is such a rare and poorly documented mutation we will only ever have a specific, undisclosed, amount of active long coated Dobes registered.

Looking for templates!
As it looks like I'm going to need to rebuild the site from scratch, we're going to offer basic templates for people to download for all possible lines and while I'm very much alright with offering my own I'd love to offer some made by others within the community just to give that little bit of extra variation. Templates will be credited to you though I'll re-host them on my own sfs/dropbox accounts just to make things a bit more organised on my part.
You do not need to be a Dobe breeder/kennel but should have a decent idea of what makes a solid Dobe as the template must fit in the breed standard. Templates should be of your own creation, CC free, have either the games standard Dobe markings or be fully black or white, should be an adult large dog in their own household, and hopefully be tagged properly though that's not required. An altered and unaltered version of the dog (each in their own household!) would be fantastic but not totally necessary!
1000$ per template if it gets listed to the site
Needed: Euro Show Line Euro Working Line American Show Line American Working Line Euro/American Mixed Line
Please send me a message if you've got a template you're willing to share!

The new site is finished! The old site will remain as a backup, fingers crossed that they don't both go down at the same time .Check out the new site here: LINK
Thank you so much to everyone that shared templates! Money should get to you soon If anyone else ever has any other templates to fill in the missing ones please feel free to send them to me! You'll be credited for the creation but after today we won't be paying for more (at this time at least!).

It's that time again! Our jimdo site was simply just not reliable enough for us anymore - going in to edit anything seemed to be a 50/50 chance of the site going unavailable yet again, so we've moved! You can find the new site along with some new resources and information here!

Apologies for the delay, all pending health testing will be delivered over the next couple days.
In other news, we're looking for new templates!
There's no issues with the templates we have currently but it's been over two years since the current ones were received and we've all greatly improved with our dog creation in that time and I'd also like to offer the chance for new members of the community to contribute.
Templates will be credited to you though I'll re-host them on my own sfs account just to make things a bit more organised on my part and to ensure that we do not lose access to templates if someone no longer wishes to participate in the community.
You do not need to be a Dobe breeder/kennel but should have a decent idea of what makes a solid Dobe as the template must fit in the breed standard. Templates should be of your own creation, CC free, carry ONLY the games standard black and tan points, should be an adult large dog in their own household, and hopefully, be tagged properly though that's not required. An altered and unaltered version of the dog (each in their own household!) would be fantastic but not totally necessary!
I cannot stress enough that these must be of your OWN creation! Do not come to me for tips on making a template, do not take one from the gallery, DO NOT use my dogs or any other kennel/creators dog as a base for the template. Do not send me a template for a dog that you're attached to or for a template that you intend to charge people for! Be aware that templates are for PUBLIC use both for the community as a whole and whomever else may stumble onto the DPC's site.
Do not create these templates with default pet eyes or either height or mass slider installed but do feel free to include dog junk, nails, and or whiskers.
You must have a decent grasp of the various lines and the overall Dobe standard - if there are specific questions you have about them that information can be found on the DPC site, by searching the discord, or searching the forums.
Accepted templates will be paid for! Current price atm is up for debate but expect 2k or more per template.
Templates Needed:
American Show (Altered & Unaltered) European Show (Altered & Unaltered) European Working (Altered & Unaltered) South American Show (Altered & Unaltered) Amer/Euro Working Mixed (Altered & Unaltered)
