Welcome!
The Junior Showmanship program is a series of tests/activities that proves your junior’s knowledge in the show ring. This series consists of multiple tiers in which your juniors will have to perform various tasks related to conformation, obedience, and agility. [break][break]Tiers:
The tiers are as follows: [break]- The first tier, Conformation, will require your junior handler to show that they can handle whatever they get thrown in the ring, whether it’s their dog acting up or other distractions.
- In the second tier, Trials, your junior will face challenges that will test the connection they have with their chosen dog. Will their canine listen or be distracted by everything else going on?
- In the last and final tier, Good Showmanship, juniors will have to show that they know exactly what “good showmanship” is. Whether this is by helping another handler during a tough spot or facing a competitor with respect at the end of the event.
[break][break]
Overall Rules:
Pictures
- 1 picture is required for each tier, which should depict the handler reacting to the situation given by the generator linked. 1 additional picture is allowed and encouraged to showcase RP aspects. More detailed requirements can be found under the respective tier.
- Required picture should show the handler in full, as well as parts of the judge/evaluator or other sims if necessary.
- Pictures should be 800x450px for every tier of the program. These should be well lit and of good quality.
- Editing is allowed within reason - it should be clear that the picture is of TS4.
- Pictures entered into previous shows and trials are not allowed. This show has unique challenges so previous entries would not make sense.
Handler & Dog Requirements
- Handlers must be between the age of 7 and 18. This means child sims can participate along with teen sims as long as they are under 18 (RP wise).
- Dogs must be over 6 months to participate, but older dogs will most likely prove to be more stable during distractions in the various tiers.
- Dogs can be of any breed, including Novus/Anders or mixed breed. This program is to show the junior’s ability to handle different event situations, not the conformation or ability of the dog.
Setting & Attire
- The setting and attire will differ for each tier. Overall, the junior should be comfortable and able to move freely in whatever attire they choose.
- Kids will be kids, so bright colors are welcome in the arena or attire.
Other Information
This program uses a generator to randomly generate different "challenges" for each tier. You can find the generator here. To roll for your junior, simply enter their name in the “Junior’s Name” section. If your teen handlers roll a child-specific challenge (and vice versa), you can roll again by typing something new in the name section. If the distraction cannot apply to them, also re-roll.[break][break]Entry Code:
