[attr="class","box2"] RULES & REQUIREMENTS Cattle Drive positions can be found here if you need some direction on where your dogs may be located in regards to the herds' position Segundo // Assistant to the 'Trail Boss' should be located near the head of the herd. Pointer // Should always be out in front of the herd, should be focused on keeping the lead steer going in the right direction. Left/Right Wing // should be on either the left or right side of the herd to help keep them in a tight formation. Drag // positioned at the back of the herd to keep it moving forward and turn back any strays. Nighthawk // Will circle the camp at night to keep an eye out for any stray cattle Wrangler // in charge of the extra horses.

Outrun // Dog leaves the handler and goes out wide around the livestock to prepare for a further move.
Gather // Dog brings the livestock close to the handler.
Away Drive // Dog drives the livestock away from the handler.

» Pictures must be exactly
800 x 450px, well lit and of good quality. Editing allowed within reason.

Requirements
HERDING[/b] Dogs must either be a herding group breed, have one herding group parent or herding must be the primary purpose of their breed.
» Dogs must be shown herding the cattle in all 3 images.
» Dogs must be over the age of 2 years to participate.
» Handlers must be over the age of 16 years to participate.[/ul]
COACHING[/b] Dogs must have the fundamentals of horse and large livestock safety down.
» Dogs must be shown working alongside a horse, multiple horses
may be used.
» Dogs must be over the age of 2 years to participate.
» Handlers must be over the age of 16 years to participate.[/ul]
Setting
[/b] Arena must be outdoors in a space suitable enough for a large number of cattle, weather conditions can vary.
» Livestock
must be cows/bulls but may be of any breed.
» Handlers should wear clothes that are suitable for outdoor work.
» Dogs
must wear a tight-fitting collar, no leash.[/ul]
