Event Info and Rules
Entries
» Once posted, entries may no longer be changed without explicit permission from an admin or moderator.
» One dog per entry, each new dog will need to have their own post.
» Images may not be reused in any way, shape, or form unless permitted by the host of the show.[/div][/ul]
Event Types
» Trials include all kinds of canine sport trials as well as pleasure and other trials and are judged based on the dog's abilities.
» CGC tests are held twice a year. There are no winners, instead your dog either passes or fails the test.
» Fun shows can either be judged like trials or by holding a poll to determine the winner. Winners will not receive official points.
» All testing (Hunt Test, Service Dog, etc.) are on a pass/fail basis; some of these include RNG odds of success and failure.
» SKA and SIKC use different point scales and events earned from one do not carry over to the other unless explicitly stated.
» Randomized events are scored based entirely off RNG roll so long as the entry is not a disqualification.[/div][/ul]
SIKC-hosted Events
» Luck, a random number between 0 - 5, is determined using an online number generator. It serves to add balance and avoid bias.
» All judging categories, including luck, are accumulated. The higher the points are, the higher the entry places.
» BIS / Overall Winner will be given to the entry with the most cumulated points.
» Judges may participate in events they judge so long as someone else judges their entries.[/div][/ul]
SKA-hosted Events

» An addition 0-2 points may be awarded upon Judge Discretion for entries they view as outstanding for any practical reason.[/div][/ul]
Member-hosted Events
» Members can host as many events as they wish provided they have enough time for them.
» If a member fails to close and judge three events in time they are no longer eligible to host.
» Members may require a starting fee for their event so long as monetary prizes are given out to the winners.
» Members may apply for SIKC and/or SKA affiliation of their event, unless it's a fun show. If accepted the winners will receive official points.[/div][/ul]
