Greeting:
Asher is a shy pup considering the rough circumstances of his health concerns. Due to this, training him to stay close to a handler has been a breeze and really reflected in the test. He wasn't incredibly fond of being told to "Stay," in an unfamiliar face and looked a bit nervous but otherwise did wonderfully. Despite his nerves, he did still stay put. When the toy was offered to him and consequently taken away, he had no issues. Asher's never been overly interested in food or toys - it's always been about human attention. He greeted one of our staff - he hasn't met before - well, calmly watching Léonie take the lead.

Greeting:
Eloise was a bit bored with the whole situation but did well nonetheless. She maintains a bearing that leads one to question whether she will comply or not but she always follows through. Our girl remained still when told to do so, dropped the ball when commanded, and was friendly and calm toward Elias when they approached her. While we were walking on leash, she was simply put into a heel and remained in that position until released.

* * * Exercise: Stay: She was given the command to lay down. Olivia walked out of her sight and she remained on her spot.
* * * Walk without pulling: She followed Olivia nicely, walking beside her on a heel.
* * * Food or toy acceptance: She was playing with her ball. Olivia gave the command to give it and she did so without problems.
* * * Greeting: Amanda loves hugs, so we had to correct her jumping against people. She did superb here with our friend, staying beside me.
Amanda is a joy to work with. As a young pup she had an interesting personality which was easy to work with, completing the beginner level with ease. Now the advanced level has shown to be no problem for her as well. We are very proud of our girl and of the way she behaved during the tests!

Registered Name: Blaze's Spaceman Registration Nr: #915014 Call Name: Axel Age: 1 year 6 months Link to Profile or Birth Announcement: Link Link to Post of Completed Beginners Test: Link Handler Name: Olivia Digman
* * * Exercise: Stay: After given the 'stay' command Olivia walked away. Axel did not follow her and stood still.
* * * Walk without pulling: Axel nicely walks next to Olivia. He sniffs around, but no sudden movements.
* * * Food or toy acceptance: Olivia gives the command to let his toy go and with little to no hesitation Axel does so.
* * * Greeting: Our social butterfly loves to walk straight to other people, but here he knows he has to stay next to Olivia.
Our little pup has grown into a handsome lad. Commands like 'stay' and 'heel' are trained on a daily basis, these were no problem as we can see. We train our dogs on the command to release objects they hold in their mouth every day. This is so we can act quickly if they would grab something hat could harm them. And as last, his greetings have very much improved. It's tempting for Axel to go straight to the person, but he has learned that he needs to wait first. He has done great, the different tests went smooth and we couldn't be more happy!

* * * Exercise: Stay: Mike was given the command to stay and he layed down while Vicky walked away.
* * * Walk without pulling: Mike walks next to Vicky, staying close. As he isn't a real fan of strangers this was not so hard to train.
* * * Food or toy acceptance: Given the order to give his toy, he did so without problem. In return for a snack of course.
* * * Greeting: As we said, Mike isn't a fan of stranger. He remains next to Vicky while she interacts with a friend.
Our boy Mike loves snacks, this surely hasn't changed. Although keeping him concentrated has been going more smoothly. He has been growing out ofhis dog teens, this resulting in him being more mature during training. Thanks to our well balanced training schedule he has completed his tests without any problem. Obedience may not be his favourite thing to do, he sure has grown into a dog that listenes very well to all commands. We are so proud of our big boy!

Pie is a friendly lad who loves to meet new people and dogs. We find him very well suited for obedience as he has proven his talent many times. He stays in place after Miles walks away and walks nicely on a heel when commanded to do so. Given the command, he will also drop his toy. This may have taken the longest to train, but we finally got there. And at last, he let Miles interact first while greeting someone Pie hadn't met yet. We are very happy with Pie's results and progress and look forward to his promising future!

Overall, I think Varg did well. He's very considerate on-leash, but occasionally his focus on his handler causes him to stumble over things on the ground. He performs his "stay" decently, but sometimes he gets a little antsy towards the end, before I recall him. I think Varg thought the toy acceptance was just fun; he got his favorite ball and lots of pets! Who wouldn't enjoy that? He doesn't mind strangers, either, so he wasn't excitable or aggressive when Bjorn greeted him.

Lila did marvelous. Although she prefers to be in the company of others, she responded well when asked to lay still for a bit and was the first to drop the ball when called upon to do so. She's a great companion and we hope to see her do well in her later performances too.

She preferred to explore the world and absorb as much smell as she could, which is why I was afraid that the exam day would not go well.
But the fear was not justified, because after I took a deep breath and calmed down, it was calm and focused and carried out all the tasks to my satisfaction.

During the greeting with the examiner, he was attentive but not tense. He was calm on the leash and focused on me and my commands, always running by my side without pulling the leash. We did the 'stay' exercise in a house so that the examiner could check how Cheops reacted when I gave the command to stay and then leave the room. He had nothing to complain about there either. Then I gave him a ball as a reward, let him play with it briefly and then interrupted it by giving him the order to let go and then stroking him.

Registered Name: Amaranthine's National Autumn Registration Nr: 620050 Call Name: Alpine Age: 1 year 11 months Link to Profile or Birth Announcement: Scroll to bottom of pageLink to Post of Completed Beginners Test: Entry and GradeHandler Name: Amber Whitaker Exercises: Walk Without Pulling:Stay: Food or Toy Acceptance:Greeting:I woke up at 6:45a.m. and set to work getting the last few things ready for the CGC judge to arrive. I threw on the outfit I had set out the night before--a red rain slicker, blue jeans, and my sneakers. I took care of my morning routine and let Alpine and Green out to potty. By 7:45a.m. I had everything ready, now to just get some of Alpine's excess energy out before it was time to take the test at 8:00a.m.. I had Alpine do a very short, very easy agility routine and then asked her to do a couple of commands. I knew that she was much more prepared afterwards and it calmed my nerves. Alpine showed no insecurity or nervousness, which boosted my own confidence just that much more. At 8:01a.m. the judge arrived. I hooked Alpine's leash to her collar and together we walked out the door and to the gate. I directed Alpine to sit and then let the judge into the yard. Once inside with the gate latched, I commanded Alpine to heel and sit before I shook the judge's hand and introduced myself. Alpine sat happily and focused mostly on me. The judge then asked us to walk around the yard and show our loose-leash heel. Alpine did exceptionally well, her pace matching my long strides beautifully. I was then asked to remove the leash and have Alpine exhibit her ability to obey commands even after I had left her field of view. Alpine remained in her down-stay, attentive but calm. Our final task was to show that Alpine has no resource guarding issues. We did this with a ball as Alpine is more toy driven than food driven. Alpine was very exited about her ball and I feared she may not obey and release the ball, but just as I was about to repeat myself she let the ball fall into my hand and focused on me for her next command. She had no problem being petted as she played with her ball, either. Once the test was over Alpine got extra kisses and pats for being so wonderful.
